I’m really excited to interview Sandra Wilson, Horse Cave/Hart County Tourism Executive Director, about Horse Cave, Kentucky. Sandra’s tips for the best things to do in Horse Cave are awesome because she grew up nearby and stayed here because it’s rural but not remote. Getting around Horse Cave

Sandra says you can either fly into either Nashville International Airport (BNA) or Louisville International Airport (SDF), both of which are about an hour away from Horse Cave. Use our Expedia tool below to find flight, hotel, and rental car options.

Who is Sandra Wilson?

Sandra T. Wilson is a Kentucky native who lives in the heart of the state’s outdoor tourism area. As Executive Director of Horse Cave/Hart County Tourism, she promotes the attractions, lodging,
restaurants, and shopping in her rural county which is midway between Louisville and Nashville. It’s a dream job for Sandra because she gets to help people have a wonderful adventure in a beautiful, exciting part of the world. Sandra also holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Western Kentucky University.

She worked in the customer service field for more than two decades and is a former Main Street Manager and weekly newspaper editor. Sandra has served her community in many areas including more than two decades as a city council member and mayor of her small town. She has two daughters who live in nearby Bowling Green, and she enjoys reading, movies, and getting updates from her five grandchildren.
