Getting around Moab

The closest major airport is Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), which is about a 4-hour drive to Moab. Instead of making the 4-hour drive, you could also catch a local flight to Canyonlands Field Airport (CNY). This airport is only a twenty-minute drive to Moab, but it has limited service.

Rosanne says that even if you’re staying downtown, renting a car is a necessity. For the best offers, visit Avis, Budget, or Hertz. If you are staying local, Uber and Lyft are excellent ways to get around. But, be aware that cell service can be a challenge sometimes when exploring National Parks. Because of this, it is best to have your own vehicle.
