Getting around Winchester
Since Winchester does not have a local airport, Josh suggests flying into Heathrow Airport (LHR) and taking the 80-minute train ride to Winchester. You can take the train from London Waterloo station to Winchester or take the National Express coach from Heathrow.
Josh says that there’s no need to rent a car while exploring the city. It is very walkable. If you’re interested in visiting the English countryside, visit Avis, Budget, or Hertz to get the best offers as you tour Winchester and many other unique towns and cities.
