Chattanooga, Tennessee

Chattanooga, Tennessee is located in the eastern part of Tennessee along the border with Georgia. It sits in a valley between two large mountains and the Tennessee River runs through it. Lonely Planet named Chattanooga one of the top 10 destinations you need to see in 2018. They specifically mentioned the natural attractions, including some of the best rock climbing in the country.

Nick calls Chattanooga “eclectic” because the city has so many diverse attractions that appeal to wide variety of people. The outdoors, the local college, the art scene, the budding tech hub, and the craft breweries & distilleries. Locals call the city “Nooga” for short.

There are a few main areas of town – Downtown, North Shore, Southside, and St Elmo.

We share a lot of resources and local suggestions in today’s podcast, but you should also check out Chattanooga Fun, the local convention and visitor’s bureau. They are a wealth of information and can help you plan an itinerary based on your time, budget, and interests.
