Getting around Mexico City
The local airport is Mexico City International Airport (MEX), which is about a 30-minute drive from Mexico City. Use our Expedia tool below to find flight, hotel, and rental car options.
Alex says that there’s no need to rent a car unless you plan on taking frequent trips outside the city. He says that rental cars are affordable and parking is easy to find, so renting a car might be a good idea for some travelers. For the best rental car offers, visit Avis, Budget, or Hertz.
Uber and Lyft are excellent ways to get around. Public transportation is also good to use and easy for locals and tourists. And Blablacar is a popular tool to get to different cities.
