Getting around Christ Church
The local airport is Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI), which is a ten-minute drive to Christ Church. Use our Expedia tool below to find flight, hotel, and rental car options.
Rikimah recommends hiring a driver so you can relax and enjoy your stay on the island. If you do decide to rent a car, visit Avis, Budget, or Hertz for the best rental car offers.
Public transportation is also quite easy in Barbados. Blue buses with a yellow stripe pass throughout Christ Church on a regular basis. They’ll stop and ask if you need a ride, even if you aren’t flagging them down. Privately-owned mini-buses (yellow with blue stripes) and ZR vans (white with maroon stripes) are additional options to get around.
Although we use Uber and Lyft regularly while traveling, they aren’t available in Barbados.
