Getting around Lansing

The local airport is Lansing Capital Regional International Airport (LAN), which is about a 15-minute drive to downtown. Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) and Gerald R. Ford International Airport (in Grand Rapids, GRR) are also good options for more flight choices. Both are just an hour away from Lansing. Eric says that renting a car is the easiest way to get around town. Locals and visitors can use the CATA buses, but the hours are limited. , if you’re staying downtown, it’s still a good idea to rent a car. For the best offers, visit Avis, Budget, or Hertz.
