Getting around Zagreb

The local airport is Franjo Tuđman Airport Zagreb (ZAG), which is about a 30-minute drive to Zagreb. Use our Expedia tool below to find flight, hotel, and rental car options.

Christy says that you definitely do not need a car to explore Zagreb. Everything within the city is a short, enjoyable walk. There are several public transportation options as well, including cable cars, funiculars, bus lines, and tram lines.

However, if you want to explore outside the city or are traveling to multiple destinations, you may want to rent a car. For the best rental car offers, visit Avis, Budget, or Hertz.

This reminds me of how much I miss Zagreb. I don’t remember the cable car so that gives me another reason to visit.
