Kylie’s tips for the best things to do in Angouleme are awesome because she moved to rural France in 2016, and she loves that Angouleme is a beautiful, old Roman city that sits on a hill overlooking the Charente River and countryside.

Kylie says that it’s a good idea to rent a car when you come to Angouleme. This will allow you more flexibility in where to travel, and there is plenty of free parking. For the best rental car offers, visit Avis, Budget, or Hertz.
If you don’t want to drive during your visit, Uber and Lyft are excellent ways to get around. However, since it is a smaller city in rural France, it may be harder to find a ride.
